How Long Will It Take You to Save for a Home?

For many New Yorkers, saving for a down payment can take 5–10 years depending on income, rent, debt, and monthly expenses. If you’re balancing bills, student loans, or credit card debt, it can take even longer to reach your goal on your own.

BNHS offers down payment assistance grants of up to $100,000 for eligible homebuyers. See how you may qualify and take the next step toward owning your home.

They have to $15k-$20k saved or we can say after meeting requirements and make sure that we say that even if you don’t have it saved we can help you develop an action plan to get to that savings in possibly 1-3 years.
